Tim Michels Announces Farm Bureau Endorsement

TOMAH, Wisc. – The Michels for Governor campaign announced that Tim Michels has been endorsed by the Volunteers for Agriculture, the political arm of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation – the state’s largest general farm organization representing the needs of farmers for all commodities.

“Our members believe Tim Michels is a strong supporter of Wisconsin’s agricultural community,” said WFBF Governmental Relations Innovation and Engagement Strategist Karen Gefvert. “When interviewed by our committee of farmers from across the state, Tim expressed strong support of farmers and rural Wisconsin. Under the leadership of Tim Michels, our members believe Wisconsin agriculture will be poised to accomplish many things. Led by farmers, the VFA’s decision comes from Tim’s respect for rural Wisconsin and commitment to grow our state’s agricultural economy.”

Tony Evers has left farmers behind and hurt their way of life. Evers tried to raise taxes on farmers and manufacturers, impose an environmental agenda that would create more red tape, and used his office to side with partisan environmental activists instead of Wisconsin farmers on the wolf hunt.

“Wisconsin farmers work hard to feed, clothe, and provide for our state,” said Tim Michels. “It’s time that they had real, executive leadership in the governor’s office that will cut red tape, lower costs, strengthen our agricultural economy, and protect the rural way of life. Help is on the way.”
